Position Summary:

Responsible for accomplishing manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures. In a fast-paced environment like production, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. In this role you will be working with other members of the organization to ensure production processes deliver products of the highest quality in the most cost-effective manner.

SHIFT: Monday - Thursday 5:00am 3:30pm

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Set daily/weekly/monthly production objectives and communicate them to employees
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing production schedules
  • Establish and maintain performance metrics for safety, quality, output and efficiency
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate across various company departments
  • Oversee, lead and coach employees using respectful, open communication by creating a positive, team-oriented working environment
  • Knowledgeable about applicable company policies including, but not limited to, attendance, leaves of absence (Protected/Un-protected leave, works comp, ADA, etc)
  • Ensure team compliance to safety, quality, training, manufacturing and other company policies
  • Manage GDP in their work areas and develop ways to improve GDP
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, developing and performance management of new and existing employees
  • Recognize individuals and teams for going above and beyond in their roles
  • Proactively manage manpower and equipment for assigned manufacturing area
  • Effectively manage and control all materials within your manufacturing area
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to improve quality, increase capacity, improve efficiency, reduce scrap, improve space utilization and other activities as the business needs
  • Other duties and responsibilities which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of proven experience leading manufacturing teams โ€“ preferably in a highly regulated industry
  • Experience working in a primarily non-automated manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills to maximize efficiency and output of the team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passionate and self-motivated with a track record of proactively delivering results
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
