Job description

Join us at Kellanova as a Manufacturing Production Lead at our Rome, GA Plant, where you’ll play a critical role in producing Rice Krispies Treats for snack lovers everywhere! This is an on-site position at a unionized facility, where you’ll lead and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring compliance with safety and food quality standards while driving efficiency and continuous improvement.

The starting pay rate for this position is $28.96 per hour. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values precision, safety, and innovation. This role offers opportunities to lead, coach, and contribute to process improvement projects, giving you exposure to advanced manufacturing practices and digital tools.

Schedule: This position follows a rotating 4-3 schedule, meaning you will work four days one week and three days the next.

  • 1st Shift: 4:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 4:30 PM – 5:00 AM

The rotation includes:

  • Week 1: Monday & Tuesday, Friday & Saturday
  • Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday & Thursday

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ensure Safety Compliance – Monitor and enforce OSHA, food safety, and plant safety policies to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Coordinate Production Activities – Oversee daily line operations, material control, and changeover processes to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Monitor Quality Standards – Perform checks on product quality, paperwork accuracy, and equipment functionality to meet compliance requirements.
  • Lead and Coach Team Members – Provide direction to machine operators and material handlers, and coach new hires on Autonomous Maintenance steps.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement – Utilize digital tools and participate in process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and performance.

We’re Looking for Someone With

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
  • Knowledge of safety processes and regulations
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with digital tools for production monitoring
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts
  • Commitment to regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with company policies
