Job description

About this role

Lead and scale Faire's core value programs - including Faire Source (Fulfilled by Faire), Faire Pay, Insider, and the operational systems that power shipping, risk, and retailer enablement - into durable growth engines that make wholesale buying on Faire simpler, more economical, and more compelling than any alternative.

As the Value Pillar Lead, you will own the product strategy and economic performance of this portfolio - operating with the judgment and discipline of a business line owner while remaining deeply grounded in product craft. You will balance customer experience, adoption, margin, capital efficiency, operational reliability, and risk, ensuring that each program scales with economic discipline and long-term durability.

You'll build and lead a high-performing team of Product Managers and partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Risk, Data, Design, and Marketing to evolve and scale these capabilities. You will define the long-term product vision for how value programs and core systems integrate seamlessly into the retailer journey - increasing adoption, strengthening loyalty, and deepening Faire's position as the preferred platform for wholesale purchasing.

What you'll do
          1. Build and lead a high-performing Product Management team

Hire, develop, and retain a world-class team of PMs. Raise the bar on product judgment, execution quality, and strategic clarity across the pillar.

          2. Scale and evolve Faire's core value programs into durable growth engines

  • Lead the continued evolution and scaling of Faire Source (Fulfilled by Faire), Faire Pay, and Insider - driving adoption, repeat usage, and long-term economic durability.
  • Increase adoption and penetration across qualified retailers and brands
  • Strengthen unit economics and margin resilience as programs scale
  • Deliver differentiated value that increases retailer loyalty and share of wallet.

          3. Strengthen and scale the core operational systems that power wholesale purchasing

  • Own the performance and scalability of the systems that enable ordering, shipping, risk, and retailer enablement - ensuring reliability and retailer trust as volume and complexity increase.
  • Improve shipping reliability and cost efficiency
  • Optimize underwriting and risk performance while scaling volume
  • Increase adoption and stability of POS integrations and enablement tools
  • Drive per-transaction cost efficiency as GMV grows

           4. Make value programs intuitive and seamlessly integrated into the retailer journey

  • Reduce complexity and design intuitive, high-performing adoption pathways across the retailer journey.
  • Embed in-product adoption levers across checkout, cart, lifecycle, and cross-program surfaces
  • Partner with Marketing and Growth to align messaging and education
  • Increase attach rates and program comprehension

           5. Operate with GM-level economic ownership across the portfolio

  • Manage the Value pillar as a coherent economic system, balancing growth, margin, capital efficiency, and risk - and making portfolio-level tradeoffs to optimize performance as programs scale.
  • Operate with deep fluency in the economic drivers behind each program
  • Continuously optimize growth, margin, and return on investment
  • Align executive stakeholders on investment horizons and guardrails

          6. Identify and validate new growth opportunities within the Value pillar

  • Proactively surface and rigorously evaluate new programs or structural improvements that strengthen wholesale purchasing on Faire.
  • Develop clear hypotheses and economic cases grounded in retailer needs and marketplace dynamics
  • Pilot and validate high-potential initiatives through disciplined experimentation
  • Build executive conviction around the most promising long-term growth vectors

Qualifications

  • Exceptional product instincts - A world-class product thinker who consistently designs simple, compelling experiences that change customer behavior. Holds a high bar for quality, clarity, and usability in high-impact flows, demonstrates strong creative judgment, and makes sharp trade-offs between completeness, simplicity, and speed.
  • Leadership - Leads through constant change and ambiguity, keeping teams highly motivated through ups and downs. Strikes the right balance between shielding the team and creating accountability for success.
  • Data-driven and analytical - Can break down complex economic and operational systems into their component parts and use data and logic to accurately diagnose root causes. Demonstrates fluency in unit economics, margin drivers, and capital constraints, and uses data effectively to inform strategic decisions.
  • Sought after manager, mentor, and coach - Proven track record of hiring, developing, and retaining world-class product managers and managers of product managers. Past direct reports are passionate about working with them.
  • Growth mindset - Willing to accept feedback and seek ways to get better every day.
  • Relentlessly resourceful - Won't quit and is hungry to do whatever it takes to make an impact on the community. Is willing to get their hands dirty and dive into the details to help their teams overcome obstacles.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen - Makes clear, well-reasoned calls to prioritize work that creates customer value and drives business impact. Synthesizes customer, financial, and operational inputs into product strategy. Strong intuition for when to pursue incremental improvements vs. taking larger swings.
  • Great collaborator - Builds strong relationships across functions, both technical and non-technical. Has a proven track record of aligning disparate parts of an organization.
  • Excellent communicator - Distills complex technical and economic decisions into simple, concise language to drive decision-making.
  • Kind - Demonstrates compassion and generosity towards everyone.
