We’re seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor who thrives in a dynamic production environment and is ready to lead with accountability, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence.

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Production Supervisor will oversee a cell of manual, CNC, and secondary operations within a fast-paced, high-mix, small-batch production environment. This leadership role is hands-on and highly collaborative, requiring strong communication, planning, and coaching skills to drive productivity, support cross-departmental initiatives, and ensure operational readiness each day.

This is an on-site, full-time position based at our Marlborough, MA headquarters and reports directly to the Operations Manager. The role includes production planning, employee development, and daily accountability for safety, quality, and output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safety-first mindset and reinforce safe behaviors across the team
  • Set daily and weekly production schedules in collaboration with the Operations Manager
  • Monitor cell performance and productivity; track progress using Excel-based reporting
  • Lead and support a team of machinists and operators to meet quality and delivery goals
  • Ensure accurate and timely movement of parts throughout the cell
  • Hold team members accountable to documented processes and inspection protocols
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and stocked with prepped material
  • Use SAP Business One, Crystal Reports, Excel, Access, and other systems for scheduling, inventory transactions, and discrepancy tracking
  • Support ERP accuracy by entering data and addressing inventory-related issues
  • Communicate clearly with a diverse team where English may be a second language
  • Rapidly adjust plans in response to changing customer needs or internal priorities
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, cross-training, and leading annual reviews
  • Ensure that at least two employees are trained for every operation in the cell
  • Collaborate with engineering, HR, and management on continuous improvement and operational upgrades

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent applicable experience
  • Previous experience supervising or managing employees in a manufacturing setting
  • Comfortable with ERP systems (especially SAP Business One) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Able to set production schedules and make decisions in a small to mid-sized manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Experience entering and managing inventory transactions
  • Solid math skills, including fractions, decimals, imperial/metric conversions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing small metal components
  • Background as a CNC setup machinist or operator
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements
  • Experience in an ISO 9001:2008 or 9001:2015 certified facility
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Working knowledge of Haas and/or Fanuc controls
