About the Role:

The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring employees follow safety, quality, and productivity standards throughout the solar module manufacturing process. This role provides hands-on leadership, supports production employees across multiple stations, troubleshoots production issues, monitors workflow, and ensures materials and equipment are properly maintained to meet production goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support production employees during daily manufacturing operations while ensuring safety, quality, attendance, and productivity standards are consistently met
  • Monitor production lines and equipment to maintain efficient workflow and minimize downtime
  • Train employees on production processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures
  • Troubleshoot production and equipment issues and escalate concerns when necessary
  • Ensure materials are loaded properly and coordinate replenishment with material handling teams
  • Review inspection and EL test results, coordinate rework when needed, and ensure product quality standards are met
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
  • Oversee daily operations across all production areas including Stringing, Layup, Material Handling, EL Inspection, Framing, Cleaning, Soldering, and Packing
  • Ensure finished products are properly packed, labeled, wrapped, and prepared for shipment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience required
  • Prior leadership or team lead experience preferred
  • Experience in solar manufacturing or automated production environments is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as needed

Schedule:

  • Training hours are Tuesday - Saturday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Upon completion of training, the schedule will transition to a rotating 12-hour shift schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 3 days off.

Location:

  • Training will be conducted at our Cypress, TX facility. Upon successful completion of training, this position will transition to our new facility located in Tomball, TX.
