Job Summary: Directs and coordinates all manufacturing operations to ensure quality on time cost-effective delivery of products. Oversees manufacturing, inventory control, Production Control and Process Engineering. The Senior Manufacturing Manager will also recommend and implement manufacturing policies and programs to guide the Company in maintaining and improving the competitive position of the operations. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, directs and coordinates all manufacturing activities for Cubic
  • Establishes methods and measures to ensure high quality and low cost processes are used in support of the business plan.
  • Strong change management and continuous improvement leadership
  • Integrated planning of Internal and Contract Manufacturing coordination and execution experience
  • Experience in managing material flow within a dynamic business environment
  • Strong cross functional collaboration with Functional and Business leaders, including Engineering, Quality, Business Management and Senior Executives
  • Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including provision for the selection and development of employees, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation, organization goals and objectives, and planning, organizing integrating and measuring the work performed within the department.
  • Ensures inventory controls, inventory levels and flow of materials (including shipment of finished goods) are consistent with budgets and forecasts for manufacturing and customer service requirements.
  • Assures compliance of plant operations with Company policy, and all local regulations.
  • Directs installation and maintenance of all processing equipment used in manufacturing.
  • Directs the preparation of specifications as to quality, quantity, delivery and service required for purchase of plant equipment, supplies and materials to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree, or equivalent, in a technical field and/or business administration plus ten years related experience including five years management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Familiarity with personal computer software.
  • Mentally capable of performing responsibilities under high levels of stress.
  • Ability to set priorities and handle multiple assignments.

Cubic Pay Range:

$105,000.00 - $145,000.00 + benefits.
