Job description

We're seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily production in the manufacturing sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily shop floor activity across machining, assembly, and finishing departments
  • Sequence and prioritize work orders to align with shipment commitments and revenue targets
  • Lead production planning, capacity analysis, and scheduling across multiple work centers
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, downtime, and cycle time
  • Partner with quality, engineering, and supply chain on root cause resolution and corrective action

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Prior leadership experience managing supervisors, planners, or production teams
  • Working knowledge of ERP and MRP platforms for scheduling and inventory control
  • Strong grasp of operational flow, throughput, and shop floor constraints
  • Lean or Six Sigma background with hands-on continuous improvement results
  • Aerospace or defense industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or related field preferred
  • Comfortable holding teams accountable to schedule, quality, and safety standards
