About the role
We're seeking a dynamic and hands-on Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to lead our metal manufacturing and final assembly operations. In this key leadership role, you'll drive continuous improvement, champion automation initiatives, and guide a high-performing engineering team to optimize production, reduce costs, and support new product introductions.You'll play a critical role in shaping manufacturing strategy, advancing technology, and ensuring our processes meet world-class standards. Compensation: $130,000-$160,000
Annual Broad Based Bonus: 20%
What you will be doing
  • Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team: Coach and mentor a team of engineers, fostering accountability, ownership, and a solutions-driven mindset while building future leaders through development and succession planning.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement & Automation: Identify and implement process improvements, introduce new technologies, and lead automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • Own Manufacturing Strategy & Execution: Partner with leadership to align manufacturing plans with business goals, including capacity planning, equipment investments, and process development.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product launches, ensuring designs are optimized for manufacturability and assembly.
  • Optimize Operations & Throughput: Analyze material flow, identify bottlenecks, reduce lead times, and improve layout and setup efficiencies across the facility.
  • Lead Capital Investment Planning: Develop business cases, justify, and execute capital equipment investments to support growth and modernization efforts.
  • Ensure Quality & Compliance Excellence: Apply ISO/QS 9001 principles and leverage tools such as FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, and DOE to maintain high-quality standards and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a Technical Liaison: Partner with corporate engineering and external stakeholders on manufacturing methods, product design, and technical solutions"

About you
  • BSME Degree
  • Familiar with low and high volume manufacturing and automated manufacturing methods
  • Metal manufacturing, assembly and finishing experience (rolling, cold heading, screw machines, etc.)
  • Experience with capital budgeting and justification
  • Experience with design principles and their relation to manufacturing
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects, utilizing project planning techniques
  • CAD experience
  • Seven (7) or more years of Engineering Management / Supervision experience
  • Seven (7) or more years Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of ISO/QS 9001 quality system and tools, i.e., FMEA, Capability Study, DOE
  • Quality and Safety driven
