POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is a key leadership role at Creation Technologies, focused on overseeing and enhancing engineering functions within the Manufacturing Engineering discipline.This leadership position is responsible for driving the execution of complex engineering tasks, managing a team of engineers, and ensuring the creation, configuration, and optimization of processes required to produce and/or test Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and box assemblies.The role requires an agile leader who can apply deep industry knowledge to advance manufacturing services, drive continuous improvement, uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency, and effectively allocate resources to deliver on high-priority tasks.

Manufacturing Engineers
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to):
  • Lead the Manufacturing Engineering team at the site.
  • Own the framework to effectively drive NPI activities alongside cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee Manufacturing Engineering tasks and activities.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of PLM and MES systems.
  • Lead and oversee engineering projects, coordinating tasks and resources to stay on or ahead of schedule.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive manufacturing process improvements that enhance production efficiency and product quality.
  • Provide technical training and support to manufacturing teams, resolving engineering issues that impact production flow.
  • Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs); analyze data to resolve systemic process and performance issues.
  • Direct the design and setup of manufacturing cells, systems, and equipment.
  • Ensure robust quality control and process validation measures.
  • Support scaling of manufacturing operations to meet increased production demands.
  • Provide expert oversight on the production floor, resolving high-impact manufacturing issues and optimizing processes.
  • Proactively engage with customers, vendors, and third parties to address risks, delays, or escalations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to engineering teams: foster a collaborative work environment, set clear goals and expectations, and mentor team members to enhance their skills and career progression.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality in manufacturing processes, incorporating advanced technologies and methodologies.
  • Follow the NPI framework to launch new products with support from cross-functional teams.
  • Manage and coordinate engineering projects from conception through deployment, ensuring alignment with business strategies, budgets, and timelines.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
  • Oversee training and professional development of engineering staff.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.
  • Prepare and manage engineering CAPEX and OPEX budgets; forecast needs and control expenditures.
  • Champion lean manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (electronics/manufacturing focus preferred), or equivalent industry/military experience
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, preferably in electronics manufacturing, including 3+ years in engineering leadership roles
  • Aerospace, Defense, and/or Medical manufacturing experience required for applicable sites
  • U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act

Skills Required:
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams
  • Deep knowledge of EMS manufacturing processes and technical environments
  • Proven track record managing complex engineering projects
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced SME expertise in Manufacturing Engineering, with working knowledge of Test Engineering and Process Engineering
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and resource allocation
  • Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO9001, ISO13485, ITAR, CGP, IPC, and J-STD

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $120,000-$145,000 USD per year. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on the date of hire, schedule type, and hours worked.
