Job Description

What You Get To Do:

The Manufacturing Engineer drives innovation and efficiency in how Elemental Brand’s lighting products are built. This role develops, tests, and implements new manufacturing processes that improve quality, reduce waste, and support our mission of delivering best-in-class lighting solutions.

You’ll bridge the gap between Engineering and Production—using our ERP and BOM configurator tools to launch new products, streamline workflows, and bring ideas from concept to production. Day to day, you’ll support manufacturing operations through process improvement, equipment troubleshooting, and hands-on training with production teams.

Collaboration is key. You’ll partner closely with Production and Planning, Product Management, Engineering, and IT to ensure products move smoothly from design to build. Success in this role requires broad knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for building processes that scale with our growth. Travel to our San Dimas, CA location will be required for this role, up to two trips per month.

Challenge Yourself – The Specifics:

  • Transitions new products from Engineering to Manufacturing including development of BOM’s and assembly instructions
  • Utilizes modern manufacturing software to implement repeatable processes and procedures
  • Collaborates with other teams including Engineering, Product Management, IT, and Quality to ensure products are produced at the highest level of quality
  • Designs, develops, and enhances concepts for LED lighting products and their mechanical and electrical components including devices, assemblies, or systems such that it be produced as an item for sale through a production manufacturing process considering cost, quality, performance, reliability, serviceability, and user features
  • Works with Engineering to complete product requirements documentation, to direct the detailed manufacturing designs and quality assurance efforts; ensures the design intent and functional attributes are implemented and maintained
  • Performs systemic improvement activities, including streamlining, standardization of documentation, change control, quality, and transfer processes, implementing quality and safety controls and improvements
  • Identifies and realizes measures for yield improvement, test optimization, and product cost reduction
  • Specifies, develops, and procures fixtures, test equipment, and instrumentation to support test requirements
  • Manages and develops standardized data collection infrastructure and procedures, and assists in the adoption of standard practices
  • Works with Technical Support and Quality in the investigation of field problems affecting customers and company operations
  • Attends meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions and reviews publications and audio-visual materials to become and remain current on principles, practices, and new developments in LED lighting product development
  • Communicates and coordinates regularly with appropriate staff to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of interdepartmental operations and activities
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications

You Have a Unique Combination of Skills, Talents and Mindset, Including Many of the Following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design, or a related Engineering field and two (2) years of consumer product development or equivalent experience or training are typically required
