Job description

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily production operations and strengthen workplace safety practices for our client in Verdi. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing floor-level oversight with team leadership, quality performance, and regulatory compliance. The person in this role will help drive efficient output, support employee development, and maintain a safe, well-organized manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day manufacturing activity to keep production on schedule while meeting quality expectations and delivery targets.

• Coordinate team assignments, adjust staffing priorities, and manage workflow to improve efficiency across the production floor.

• Guide, mentor, and train employees to build skills, reinforce accountability, and encourage strong collaboration.

• Track labor utilization, output trends, and operational performance indicators to support continuous improvement efforts.

• Verify that finished products consistently align with internal specifications and customer requirements.

• Partner with maintenance personnel to plan preventive service activities and improve equipment uptime and reliability.

• Address production bottlenecks, equipment issues, and process concerns quickly to reduce interruptions and maintain throughput.

• Lead safety orientation for new team members, provide ongoing training, and promote consistent adherence to workplace safety procedures.

• Conduct regular safety audits, review incidents to identify root causes, and maintain required documentation and compliance records.

• Support inventory-related activities by monitoring material accuracy, asset control, and stock availability needed for production continuity

• At least 3 years of experience supervising employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of workplace safety regulations, incident prevention, and compliance documentation.
• Ability to manage production priorities, schedules, and team performance in a hands-on setting.
• Experience reviewing blueprints, mechanical drawings, or manufacturing work instructions.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with production planning, machinery, and quality control practices.
• Experience with inventory tracking, asset inventory, or annual inventory processes is preferred.
• Background in metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, industrial manufacturing, quality assurance, or root cause analysis is advantageous.
