As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be supporting daily manufacturing operations by driving process improvements, enhancing product quality, and improving operational efficiency. You will be collaborating closely with operators, technicians, quality engineers, and leadership teams to identify and resolve production challenges while implementing sustainable manufacturing solutions.
You will be contributing to the development and optimization of manufacturing processes, supporting new product introductions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the production environment. Through a hands-on approach and strong problem-solving mindset, you will be helping ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations that support business objectives and customer expectations.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Supporting daily manufacturing operations by troubleshooting process issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Developing, documenting, and improving standard work instructions, process flows, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Assisting in designing tools, fixtures, and equipment to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
  • Collecting and analyzing production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participating in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).
  • Supporting new product introductions by helping define manufacturing requirements and validating processes.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure smooth production and adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Have the ability to work effectively on the production floor and communicate with technical and non technical teams.
  • Have familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
  • Have basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, fabrication, or automation.
  • Have proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have internship or co op experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Have exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Have experience with data analysis tools (Minitab, JMP, or similar).
  • Have knowledge of GD&T, PFMEA, or control plans.

The annual pay scale for this position is between $62,310.00 - $115,510.00.
Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes' good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. Where an applicant will ultimately fall within the pay range/scale depends on a variety of factors, including, for example, geographic work location, skillset, qualifications, internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated performance over time. Please keep in mind that the range stated above is the full base salary range for the role and does not include other forms of compensation.
