Job description

Futures start here. Where first steps, new friendships, and confident learners are born. At KinderCare Learning Companies, the first and only early childhood education provider recognized with the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, we offer a variety of early education and child care options for families. Whether it's KinderCare Learning Centers, Champions, or Creme de la Creme, we build confidence for kids, families, and the future we share. And we want you to join us in shaping it-in neighborhoods, at work, and in schools nationwide.

At KinderCare Learning Companies, you'll use your skills and expertise to support the work (and fun) that happens in our sites and centers every day. From marketers and strategists to financial analysts and data engineers, and so much more, we're all passionate about crafting a world where children, families, and organizations can thrive.

We are seeking a Product Manager, Finance Operations, to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of digital products supporting our financial operations, with Workday Financials as the primary platform, including definition of user stories and acceptance criteria, and working directly with internal and external partners to successfully deliver value.

This is a product management role-not a configuration or system administration role. As Product Manager you are expected to think holistically about Finance operations, understand end-to-end financial processes, and lead prioritization and decision-making across initiatives that may span multiple products and systems over time.

Workday modules and capabilities in scope include Adaptive Planning, Accounting Center, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and Financial Reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and own the Workday Financials roadmap in alignment with business goals. Collaborate with Finance and Technology leadership to implement a cohesive Workday Financials strategic plan.

  • Work with internal partners to understand business problem statements, prioritize needs based on business impact, and convert them into product initiatives.

  • Lead the product portfolio supporting Finance Operations. Monitor Workday platform updates and guide the adoption of new features and capabilities. Ensure scalable, standardized end-to-end finance processes across Workday Financials modules.

  • Implement and maintain data governance standards to support financial accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

  • Oversee platform-level change management, ensuring consistency and alignment across finance processes and modules.

  • Assess return on investment on Workday Financials investments, ensuring enhancements and expansions deliver measurable value.

  • Collaborate with security, audit, and compliance teams to maintain adherence to corporate and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage, prioritize, and quickly assess the business impact of defects, and promote built-in quality throughout the development process.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years in digital product management or related fields, with extensive finance systems experience.

  • Proven product leadership in leading complex financial technology initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Experience in business requirements gathering and best-practice financial systems configuration (through partnership, not hands-on configuration).

  • Experience operating at a senior level, communicating effectively with finance leaders, executives, and vendor partners. Ability to collaborate across functions and lead teams toward strategic outcomes.

  • Strong decision-making skills balancing risk, speed, compliance, and long-term value.

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Agile mindset, with experience in Agile frameworks for product management.
