POSITION SUMMARY

The Workday Reporting Analyst will support and enhance reporting and data capabilities across the organization’s Workday platform. This role will focus primarily on developing advanced reports, dashboards, and data insights across Workday HCM and Financials, while supporting integrations that ensure accurate and reliable data flows across enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in Workday reporting tools, data structures, and calculated fields with strong business acumen and the ability to translate HR and Finance data into meaningful insights. Integrations experience will be leveraged to support reporting accuracy, ensure data availability, and troubleshoot upstream data dependencies across Workday and connected systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Workday Reporting & Analytics

  • Serve as a primary resource for Workday reporting across both HCM and Financial Management modules.
  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Workday reports including Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Trending reports.
  • Build and maintain calculated fields, report logic, and complex data relationships to support business analysis.
  • Develop dashboards and scorecards that provide insights to HR, Finance, and leadership teams.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions supporting areas such as workforce reporting, compensation, financial reporting, and operational metrics.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests, audits, and regulatory reporting needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting outputs.
  • Maintain documentation of reporting logic, data sources, and report definitions.

Data Architecture & Governance

  • Develop a strong understanding of Workday data structures, business objects, and relationships across HCM and Financials.
  • Support data validation and reconciliation across Workday modules and downstream systems.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and IT teams to establish and maintain reporting standards and data governance practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation, and data quality.

Data Enablement

  • Support Workday integrations that provide critical data feeds used in reporting and analytics.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of integrations including Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs), Core Connectors, and Studio-based integrations.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and resolve data discrepancies impacting reporting accuracy.

System Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Payroll, and Technology teams to gather reporting requirements and prioritize enhancements.
  • Participate in Workday release testing and system updates, particularly where reporting or data structures are impacted.
  • Support security configuration related to report access and data visibility.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve access to business insights.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of Workday experience supporting reporting across HCM and/or Financials.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Workday reporting tools including Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Trending reports.

      SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

      • Strong experience building calculated fields and complex report logic.
      • Understanding of Workday business objects and data structures.
      • Experience supporting or troubleshooting Workday integrations such as EIBs or Core Connectors.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into data insights.
      • Experience authoring and debugging SQL queries.
      • Workday certifications in Reporting, HCM, and/or Financials.
      • Experience developing executive dashboards and operational reporting frameworks.
      • Familiarity with Workday Prism Analytics, Discovery Boards, or advanced analytics capabilities.
      • Experience supporting integrations such as Studio, PECI, or API-based integrations.
      • Experience working in complex enterprise environments with multiple integrated systems.
      • Familiarity with HR and financial data governance and compliance requirements.
