Job description

Column Technical Services is seeking a skilled Workday Reporting Analyst to join the HRIS team. In this role, you will develop and optimize Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics across Core HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, and Performance Management. You'll partner with HR and business leaders to transform data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has strong Workday reporting expertise, a solid understanding of HR data, and a passion for delivering impactful analytics solutions. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain a wide range of Workday reporting solutions, from simple to complex reports and dashboards, including Advanced, Matrix, Composite, KPI/Metric Reports, Discovery Boards, Worksheets, and Slides.
  • Manage and maintain the inventory of standard and custom reports, including calculated fields and related business objects.
  • Continuously enhance and optimize existing reports to improve performance, usability, and the overall user experience.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across all reporting solutions.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and other business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective Workday reporting solutions.
  • Deliver data analysis and actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within workforce and HR data.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to support seamless reporting functionality across Workday modules.
  • Administer reporting-related security access and permissions within Workday.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of new and enhanced reports to ensure data quality and reliability.
  • Investigate and resolve reporting issues, discrepancies, and data-related concerns in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation and provide training on Workday reporting tools and best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for report users by offering ongoing guidance and support.
  • Support audit, compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements through Workday.


Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Workday Reporting tools.
  • Bachelor's degree. OR Four (4) years of related work experience.
  • Experience supporting HRIS, Human Resources, Payroll, or related data management functions.
  • Experience working with Workday modules including Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Absence, Recruiting, and Compensation.
  • Proficiency with Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Workday Prism, Dashboards, and related reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of Workday data structures and reporting across Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Absence, and Recruiting, including the creation and maintenance of Prism data pipelines.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently troubleshoot technical and functional issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Workday Security, Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs), and Workday integrations.
