Job description

Position Title: Report Writer
Rate of Pay : $20.25 per hour
Position Purpose:
Responds to Safety & Security Department incidents as requested to gather and document facts. This is a temporary seasonal position not to exceed 122 days.
Work Schedule:
Wednesday - Sunday; 3:30pm-12:00am
Essential Functions:
  • Responds from the Safety & Security Department base location to the scene of safety and security incidents throughout the property.
  • Interviews participants and witnesses to gather information regarding each incident.
  • Generates written reports, photographs and gathers other pertinent information and documentation regarding the incident at hand.
  • Acts as ambassador for the OCFEC by answering inquiries from patrons, employees, business partners and guests, and responds to requests for assistance.
  • May assist in other Safety & Security Department duties including patrolling the property as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills a must, particularly in dealing with others in difficult situations.
  • Previous security or law enforcement report writing and/or documentation experience required.
  • Must be able to work all 23 days of the annual OC Fair.
  • Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.

Preferences:
  • Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred
