CATERING DEPT KITCHEN OPERATIONS SUPPORT
Job Number: 698
Salary: $18.90
Position Overview
We are hiring reliable student staff to perform thorough deep cleaning of shared kitchen spaces. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our community. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable performing physical cleaning tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform deep cleaning of kitchen areas twice per week
  • Clean and sanitize:
    • Countertops, sinks, and backsplashes
    • Appliances ( refrigerators-interior/exterior as assigned, ovens, stovetops)
    • Cabinets, drawers, and handles
    • Tables, chairs, and high-touch surfaces
  • Sweep, mop, and spot-clean floors
  • Empty trash and replace liners
  • Restock basic cleaning supplies as needed
  • Follow all cleaning checklists, safety guidelines, and sanitation procedures
  • Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or supply shortages to supervisor

Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled student in good standing
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting up to [X] lbs, and standing for extended periods
  • Reliable and punctual with consistent availability

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior cleaning or custodial experience
  • Familiarity with cleaning products and basic sanitation practices
