Maesa is looking for an Associate Manager, Customer Strategy & Insights to support our growing Beauty portfolio, including brands like Fine'ry, Kristin Ess, Hairitage, and more. This role sits within the Sales Strategy & Operations organization and plays a critical role in how we translate data into action-shaping customer strategies, informing category decisions, and enabling scalable growth across our retail partners.
This is a highly cross-functional role at the intersection of data, category strategy, and go-to-market execution. As a true owner of your workstreams, you will be responsible for turning insights into impact-driving recommendations that influence internal teams and support strong performance across key retailers.
Reporting to the Director, Sales Strategy, this is a unique opportunity to help build and evolve how Maesa leverages data to drive decision-making in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
  • Own customer performance tracking and reporting, analyzing POS and panel data (Circana/IRI, Numerator) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across key retailers and brands
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations that influence go-to-market planning and execution
  • Drive category and assortment strategy recommendations, supporting internal teams with data-backed perspectives on shelf, productivity, and growth opportunities
  • Build and evolve scalable reporting tools and dashboards that enable internal teams to self-serve insights and improve decision-making efficiency
  • Support innovation planning and customer sell-in efforts, including development of compelling, insight-driven presentations and materials
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Brand Marketing, Operations, and Planning teams to align on priorities and deliver cohesive strategies
  • Contribute to a culture of data-driven storytelling, elevating how insights are communicated across the organization
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-6 years of experience in CPG, analytics, category strategy, sales strategy, or a related field
  • Experience working with POS and panel data (Circana/IRI, Numerator required)
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data manipulation) and comfort working with pre-built dashboards and data systems
  • Proven ability to translate data into insights and actionable recommendations
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple workstreams
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Retailer exposure (e.g., Target, Walmart) is a plus
  • Experience in beauty or personal care is a plus
  • A passion for the beauty industry and curiosity around consumer trends and behaviors

What We Offer
$90K/yr - $95K/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus plan based on individual and company performance.
Maesa offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees. Employees can choose to enroll in health insurance coverage, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, and retirement savings plans. Through generous paid time off, a hybrid office setup, and paid leave options, Maesa encourages wellness and balance among employees.
Our Commitment to You
At Maesa, we live by our values of collaboration, curiosity, game-changing, creativity, and discipline. We believe our people and partners are a creative force that catalyzes the possibilities in beauty to break through traditional limits and discover the "new" without restriction. We prioritize creating and fostering a welcoming environment for employees, partners, ideas, approaches, and endeavors - all through a spirit of warmth and inclusivity.
