About the role:

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager - Retail Financing, this role has the following responsibilities:

Risk Management & Compliance, in adhering to applicable compliance obligations, including Privacy, Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing and internal Anti-Fraud Policy requirements, must remain the over-arching focus in carrying out one's responsibilities as outlined below:

Engagement, Activation & Retention

  • Develop, lead and execute marketing programs tailored to support merchant growth, drive financing adoption, and contribute to portfolio growth across Canada

  • Develop and execute effective lifecycle campaigns and customer journeys that support activation, usage, engagement and retention KPI objectives

  • Translate business objectives into clear campaign briefs, audience strategies, offer constructs and channel plans in email

  • Partner with analytics and business teams to identify customer segments, behavioral triggers and optimization opportunities that improve performance

  • Support campaign setup, approvals, execution and quality assurance to ensure accurate, timely and compliant deployment

  • Monitor campaign results, identify insights and recommend enhancements through ongoing test-and-learn practices

Performance Analysis & Insights

  • Lead post-campaign analysis and prepare performance recaps with actionable insights, learnings and recommendations for future improvements

  • Track performance against key measures such as engagement, conversion, retention and incremental value contribution

  • Present results, insights and recommendations to marketing leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

Market Research & Competitive Insights

  • Monitor marketplace trends, competitor activity and channel best practices to identify relevant opportunities and inform campaign planning

  • Bring forward customer and market insights that help shape targeting, messaging and overall engagement strategy

Stakeholder Management & Operational Effectiveness

  • Manage relationships with internal and external partners including operations, analytics, legal, compliance and translation

  • Support the business by identifying marketing opportunities, attend merchant meetings, and help strengthen merchant relationships

  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to align campaign activity with broader portfolio growth and customer engagement objectives

Risk and Compliance

  • As an employee of Fairstone Bank, comply with all applicable bank and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines and controls

  • Maintain current understanding of and adherence to privacy, anti-spam, regulatory and compliance requirements across all digital marketing activities

  • Ensure governance, approvals and documentation are completed for all marketing-related initiatives prior to launch

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing or communications experience with successful track record in campaign development, journey mapping and tactical execution

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience writing and editing copy for a variety of internal and external channels and collateral

  • Experience working with a creative team and external agencies, including creative, data and production vendors

  • Outstanding problem solving/analytical skills enabling expedient resolution of issues

  • Superb communication and diplomacy skills with peers, management, and customers

  • Financial services sector and/or B2B marketing experience an asset

  • bilingual in English and French, with the ability to support marketing initiatives and engage stakeholders across bilingual markets in Canada.

  • High degree of proficiency with the MS Office product suite

  • Expected base salary range is $90,000 - $105,000 per year, plus the opportunity to earn an annual incentive bonus tied to performance.
