Job description

Your Impact

You will lead revenue accounting operations and serve as a strategic partner to FP&A, Commercial Controllership, IT, Professional Services, and Sales. You will ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition under ASC 606 while strengthening processes, controls, and scalability across a complex, multi-element revenue environment.
This role requires deep revenue accounting expertise in a fast-paced, public company setting.
This role would require relocation to Boston. This role follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. Reports to: Director, Revenue Accounting

What You'll Do
  • Lead day-to-day revenue accounting, including key revenue streams, journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition and related accounts in compliance with ASC 606.
  • Review and document technical accounting conclusions for complex contracts and multi-element arrangements (hardware, SaaS, professional services).
  • Partner cross-functionally to evaluate contracts, resolve revenue issues, and optimize order-to-cash processes.
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly close activities, analytics, and revenue reporting.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and support internal and external audits, including SOX compliance.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Coach and develop team members while fostering a high-performance culture.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, including required ASC 606 experience in a publicly traded company environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in complex revenue arrangements across hardware, SaaS, and professional services.
  • Experience operating in a SOX-compliant environment and supporting audits.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional partnership with Sales, FP&A, IT, and Operations.
  • ERP experience required (D365 or comparable system); advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with automation and data tools (e.g., Sigma, Snowflake, Power BI, Salesforce, RevStream) strongly preferred.
  • Finance or FP&A experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting matters clearly.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on process improvement and scalability.
