Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GEDย ย 
  • At least five years of professional, retirement plan administration, and compliance experience
  • Possesses advanced knowledge and understanding of industry and professional concepts, principles, practices, and procedures
  • Possesses expert knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, and professional standards
  • Expert use of applicable technology
  • Proficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and enterprise communication and travel solutions (Concur, Skype)
  • Experience performing work that requires initiative and leadership skills
  • Experience in coaching and teaching othersย 
  • Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), Qualified 401(K) Administrator (QKA)ย 
  • Ability to anticipate and elicit customer needs
  • Ability to self-learn and develop business and technical knowledge quicklyย 
  • Motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel as necessary

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Primary contact for a specified block of business and is responsible for the overall client satisfaction on the assigned business
  • Perform all required Compliance Testing and related items
  • Reconciles assets, prepare Form 5500 and all schedules
  • Preparation of necessary allocations for Employer contributions andย  calculations such as required minimum distributions and Qualified Domestic Relations Orders
  • Respond to Plan sponsors in a professional and timely manner concerning issues or questions
  • Promote client retention and identify opportunities to build existing relationships through timely service quality
  • Resolve complex situations or requests
  • Achieve service goals established by department
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of retirement plan administration or compliance experience
  • Strong background in compliance testing, Form 5500 preparation, allocations, and asset reconciliation
  • Working knowledge of ERISA and IRS/DOL regulations related to retirement plan administration
  • Experience reviewing or auditing the work of others for accuracy and compliance
  • Familiarity with FT William software used for 5500 and compliance
  • Proficiency with retirement plan administration systems and Microsoft Excel
  • QKA, QPA ASPPA credentials, or progress toward certification
