Job description


We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager with strong financial skills to oversee a mixed portfolio of commercial properties, with residential property management experience considered a strong plus. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage financial reporting, tenant relations, lease administration, and day-to-day operations across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports
  • Develop and manage property budgets, including variance analysis
  • Process and manage monthly tenant charges and billing

Property Management Systems
  • Run and interpret reports using MRI and/or Yardi software
  • Maintain accurate data within property management systems

Lease Administration
  • Review, interpret, and understand residential leases
  • Complete lease abstracts, capturing key terms, dates, and financial obligations
  • Track critical lease dates (renewals, expirations, escalations)

Tenant Relations
  • Serve as primary point of contact for tenant correspondence
  • Address tenant inquiries related to billing, leases, and property operations
  • Build and maintain positive tenant relationships to support retention

General Portfolio Oversight
  • Work independently to prioritize and resolve portfolio-related issues
  • Coordinate with internal teams as needed

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in commercial property/portfolio management
  • Residential financial management experience is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of MRI and/or Yardi (running and reading reports)
  • Demonstrated understanding of commercial leases and lease abstraction
  • Experience with budgeting and financial reporting for real estate portfolios
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
