Overview
We are designing the grid of the future!
We are seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Operations to transform and lead our end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) function, including invoicing, credit, collections, and cash application. This role goes beyond operational execution-it is accountable for building and scaling how the company converts revenue into cash. You will partner with Sales, Operations, and Finance & Accounting leadership to eliminate friction in the quote-to-cash lifecycle, improve customer experience, and materially enhance cash flow and working capital performance. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in cross-functional environments, drives change, and brings a strong systems + process transformation mindset.

Order-to-Cash Transformation
  • Transform the end-to-end O2C lifecycle (contract setup → invoicing → collections → cash application
  • Identify and eliminate structural inefficiencies impacting billing accuracy, speed, and cash conversion
  • Drive operating model changes that align Finance, Sales, and Operations workflows
  • Lead the evolution toward scalable, automated, and standardized processes

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
  • Act as the central point of accountability for O2C performance across the business
  • Partner with Sales leadership on:
    • Contract quality and enforceability
    • Deal structures that optimize both growth and cash flow
  • Align with Customer Success on:
    • Dispute resolution, renewals, and customer billing experience
  • Work with Revenue Operations on:
    • Billing models, pricing constructs, and system capabilities
  • Influence stakeholders without direct reporting authority

Cash Flow & Working Capital Performance
  • Own and materially improve:
    • DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) & DTI (Days to Invoice)
    • Throughput
    • Past due AR, collections effectiveness
  • Drive toward real-time visibility into AR and cash metrics
  • Partner with treasury to implement rigor in forecasting cash collections and identifying risk early
  • Establish accountability frameworks tied to business unit performance

Credit & Risk Strategy
  • Redesign credit policies to reflect customer segments and growth strategy
  • Balance revenue growth vs. risk exposure
  • Implement proactive monitoring of customer health, payment behavior, and risk signals

Qualifications
Bring your passion, here's what's needed:
  • 8-10 years in financial operations, AR, or order-to-cash management roles
  • Demonstrated track record of transforming and scaling O2C functions (not just managing) using systems and data
  • Experience operating in cross-functional, matrixed environments
  • Strong expertise across: Billing & invoicing, Credit & collections, Working capital optimization
  • Proven ability to influence Sales and business leaders credibly
  • Experience leveraging AI and automation tools responsibly to improve quality, productivity and innovation

Operator + architect: Can both execute and design systems/processes
Enterprise influencer: Drives change without formal authority
Data-driven: Uses metrics to diagnose issues and drive accountability
Systems thinker: Understands upstream/downstream impacts across the revenue lifecycle

Success in the First 12-18 Months
Measurable improvement in DSO, DTI and cash collections
Reduction in billing errors and disputes
Implementation of scalable, automated O2C processes
Strong alignment and accountability across Sales, Operations, and Finance
Increased visibility and predictability in cash forecasting
