Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance for a direct hire opportunity with a mission-driven nonprofit organization in Redmond, WA. This role is ideal for an experienced nonprofit finance leader who enjoys building strong financial systems, partnering with executive leadership, and supporting an organization with meaningful community and industry impact.
The Director of Finance will oversee financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, grant management, compliance, and accounting administration. This position plays a key leadership role in shaping financial strategy, improving internal processes, and providing clear financial insight to executives, board members, finance committees, and operational leaders.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, accounting controls, and fiscal policy administration.
- Supervise, mentor, and support accounting staff responsible for billing, payroll, purchasing, transaction processing, and related accounting activities.
- Manage grant accounting, funding allocations, grant agreements, compliance requirements, and reporting for diverse funding sources.
- Partner with executive leadership, department managers, the board, and finance committee to provide financial analysis, strategic recommendations, and organizational health indicators.
- Oversee audits, tax reporting, IRS filings, regulatory compliance, ERP accounting system improvements, payroll, benefits administration, and relationships with financial partners.
- Support long-term strategic planning through financial projections, risk assessments, budget variance reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $130,000 to $150,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: Redmond, WA.
