Job description

Overview
*Candidates based in Dallas, TX will receive primary consideration, though remote candidates are welcome to apply*
The Senior Manager of Financial Reporting reports to the Sr. Director of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting. This position is responsible for the preparation of the Company's quarterly and annual financial statements and related debt compliance reporting. This role also plays a key role in accounting for long-term incentive programs, including equity grants, and supports technical accounting matters, mergers and acquisitions, new accounting pronouncements, financial statement analysis, and other strategic initiatives. The Sr. Manager of Financial Reporting partners closely with Legal, Treasury, FP&A, and external auditors and is expected to exercise strong judgment, ownership, and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare the quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnote disclosures, and analyze publicly available disclosure and metrics to ensure alignment of external reporting with industry practices.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial results and reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and support period-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
  • Support accounting, documentation, and reporting for hedging transactions.
  • Maintain stock-based compensation-related records and prepare related journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Research accounting literature and apply technical standards from new accounting pronouncements to produce position papers, accounting policies and procedures.
  • Lead or participate in resolution of complex business issues and transactions, including debt and equity transactions, stock-based compensation, and business combinations.
  • Assist with the accounting for merger and acquisition activities, both pre- and post-closing of the transaction.
  • Provide support for key strategic projects as needed.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Active CPA license.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant accounting and finance experience; financial analysis desirable.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and proven ability to research, interpret, and apply complex accounting guidance.
  • High level of initiative, ownership, accountability, and professional judgment.

Preferred:
  • Big 4 public accounting or related large public company experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with SEC reporting and IPO readiness.
  • M&A transaction experience, including purchase accounting and integration.
  • Experience in accounting for equity grants and stock-based compensation.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, Shareworks, and Workiva.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Required:
  • Strong data analytics skills and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to explain complex accounting matters clearly.
  • Ability to effectively leverage AI tools, automation, and data-assisted systems to improve productivity, analysis, documentation, communication, and workflow efficiency while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently, solve problems, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced reporting environment.
  • Strong ability to drive continuous improvement of processes.
  • Experience leading project teams or coordinating the work of others to achieve project goals.

Pay Range
USD $105,800.00 - USD $180,200.00 /Yr.
