Job description

Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Freight Consolidation Operations is responsible for the execution, optimization, and day-to-day leadership of FST's LTL and retail consolidation operations, including Walmart consolidation, within a single-site operation.
This role ensures efficient daily execution across cross dock and consolidation activities, drives service and operational performance, and leads frontline and supervisory teams within the site.
The Senior Manager partners with senior leadership to support operational initiatives, implement process improvements, and maintain consistent, reliable performance aligned with company standards.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the day-to-day execution of Walmart and other retail consolidation programs within a single-site operation
• Oversee inbound and outbound freight activities, including cross dock operations, warehouse coordination, and carrier communication
• Monitor daily operational performance and address service issues, delays, and exceptions in real time
• Implement and follow established processes to reduce misloads, freight left behind, service failures, and operational variability
• Ensure consistent, accurate communication across all teams supporting site operations
• Partner with internal teams (Transportation, Customer Service, Warehouse) to support efficient and aligned execution
• Support the implementation of operational improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency at the site level
• Review KPIs and operational reports to identify trends, address gaps, and escalate risks when needed
• Assist in executing consolidation strategies developed by senior leadership within the assigned site
• Ensure adherence to company standards, safety requirements, and operational processes
• You will be held accountable to comply with all defined business processes and the utilization of all technology platforms, as defined by FST

• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to drive team success
