Job Summary

ย 

The Plant Manager is responsible for all aspects of production operations within the facilities. This includes but not limited to the execution of Plant operations at multiple locations while maintaining a cost-efficient process. Provide effective project management and supervision and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIโ€™s) maintaining operational goals and strategy. Develop and execute a staffing plan that meets operational objectives and maintain the approved plan according to Hillman Policy and Procedures. Constantly drive continuous improvement putting Quality and Safety first.ย  Work closely with all team members providing a positive working atmosphere.

Essential Job Functions *

  • Develops systems and drives continuous improvement by developing world class systems and measurements to drive supply chain and manufacturing efficiencies and productivity; implementing systems such as Visual Factory and Lean methodologies; supporting Statistical Control Systems to drive Quality; and ensuring Production team is meeting/exceeding customerโ€™s expectations.
  • Develops strategy, budgets and facility objectives and drive team to meet or exceed by working with the Director of Operations to develop and implement strategy that supports teamโ€™s Vision; developing / reviewing annual budget to support production demands; developing objectives for all functions of production team necessary to support the achievement of Operationโ€™s objectives; directing and supporting reports to ensure achievement of individual and function objectives.
  • Ensures production teams are maintained and managed consistently with company policy and applicable regulations by working in conjunction with corporate safety function to ensure a safe work environment. Promote and role model โ€œsafety firstโ€; and ensuring the Production team complies with corporate policy and applicable regulations.
  • Maintains positive employee relations throughout the Production team by providing clear direction and communicate effectively with all levels of team members; creating and maintaining a positive, collaborative and team-oriented culture; driving ownership and accountability; supporting ongoing development of supervisor staff to ensure high level effectiveness and long-term continuity; and serving as advisor to Director of Operations and member of the Industrial Solutions Management team.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business operations management or another related discipline is preferred
  • Masterโ€™s Degree in related discipline a plus
  • 5 yearsโ€™ experience in Plant management
  • Excellent knowledge of progressive manufacturing principles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting deadlines
  • Skilled situational leader with a demonstrated ability to establish and sustain excellent professional relationships
