The Manager, Organizational Development is responsible for leading the design, execution, and sustainability
of organizational development initiatives that build leadership capability, workforce readiness, and organizational
effectiveness across the Spokane pharmaceutical manufacturing site. Operating in a 24/7, highly regulated
manufacturing environment, this role partners closely with site leadership, HR Business Partners, and
cross-functional stakeholders to deliver practical, scalable OD solutions that support operational excellence, talent
readiness, succession depth, and culture execution. The role also provides direct leadership to an OD team and
serves as a trusted advisor to leaders navigating growth, change, and capability gaps.
Organizational & Leadership Development
• Design and execute site-level organizational development strategies aligned with business priorities, workforce planning, and site transformation initiatives.
• Lead leadership development efforts for frontline supervisors, managers, and senior leaders within a manufacturing environment, with emphasis on decision-making, accountability, and people leadership.
• Partner with HR and leadership teams to implement talent assessment processes (e.g., 9-box, readiness assessments) and succession planning strategies for critical roles across the Spokane site. Manufacturing Workforce & Operational Enablement
• Develop OD solutions tailored to a mixed hourly and salaried workforce, supporting leadership effectiveness across shifts and operational teams.
• Ensure OD and leadership programs account for operational realities including shift coverage, production schedules, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, EHS, and other site functions to embed organizational effectiveness principles into manufacturing execution.
New Hire Experience & Orientation Ownership
• Own the end-to-end new hire experience for the Spokane manufacturing site, ensuring a consistent, compliant, and engaging onboarding journey.
• Design and deliver site-level new hire orientation for hourly and salaried employees, aligned with FDA-regulated manufacturing, safety, and enterprise onboarding standards.
• Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, Operations, Quality, and EHS to ensure onboarding content is role-relevant, operationally practical, and culture-reinforcing across a 24/7, shift-based workforce.
• Track onboarding effectiveness (e.g., early retention, time-to-productivity, feedback) and drive continuous improvement while aligning with corporate standards and Spokane-specific needs.
Learning & Talent Development Integration
• Oversee the development and deployment of leadership and professional development programs aligned with enterprise frameworks while meeting site-specific needs.
• Ensure learning solutions are compliant, scalable, and effective in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Measure program impact using defined KPIs and business outcomes; regularly review effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.
People Leadership & Capability Building
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of at least two direct reports, setting clear expectations, goals, and accountability for results.
• Build organizational development capability within the HR function through mentoring, consultation, and strong partnership practices.
Stakeholder Partnership
• Serve as a consultative partner to site leadership and the HR team on matters related to organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and workforce readiness.
• Maintain alignment with corporate and global talent development standards while advocating for Spokane-specific manufacturing needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in organizational development, Human Resources, or MBA desired.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in organizational development, leadership development, or talent development required.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting leaders in a manufacturing or operations-driven environment required.
  • Prior people-management experience with direct accountability for developing and leading a team required.
  • Strong experience partnering with leaders on workforce planning, succession, and organizational change required.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or FDA-regulated manufacturing environments preferred
  • Formal training or certification in change management or organizational development methodologies preferred.
  • Experience working with shift-based or 24/7 operational workforces preferred.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Software with a focus on adult learning concepts.
  • MS Office Suite Skills required.
  • Strategic thinking with strong execution discipline.
  • Credible leadership presence and influencing capability.
  • Data-driven decision making and use of workforce insights.
  • Ability to navigate complexity in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong coaching, facilitation, and consultative partnership skills.

Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
