The Lean Manufacturing Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations, with a primary focus on eliminating workflow bottlenecks, optimizing operational efficiency, and enhancing overall production performance. This role champions lean principles, fosters cross-functional communication, and ensures high standards of quality and strategic planning are consistently met.
Compensation:$105,000 - $115,000 yearly
Responsibilities:Lean Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Lead the implementation and sustainability of lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping).
- Identify, analyze, and eliminate workflow bottlenecks to improve throughput and reduce waste.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
Operational Efficiency
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including cycle time, throughput, downtime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Optimize production workflows to ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to streamline processes and reduce non-value-added activities.
Workflow & Bottleneck Management
- Conduct regular process audits and value stream analyses to identify constraints.
- Develop and implement solutions to remove production barriers and improve flow.
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to redesign processes for scalability and efficiency.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Integrate quality control measures into lean processes to minimize defects and rework.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.
Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a key liaison between production, engineering, quality, and leadership teams.
- Communicate improvement initiatives, progress, and results clearly and effectively.
- Train and coach team members on lean methodologies and best practices.
Planning & Execution
- Lead strategic planning for continuous improvement projects and operational initiatives.
- Develop project timelines, resource plans, and measurable goals.
- Ensure alignment between operational objectives and broader business strategy.ย
Qualifications:- Bachelorโs degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with a focus on lean methodologies.
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing waste.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Lean certification (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred.
