Company Description

We are looking for a change agent who can improve On-Time Delivery, increase throughput, optimize capacity, and implement Lean Manufacturing practices across plating and precision surface finishing operations.

The successful candidate will have the authority to identify bottlenecks, improve production flow, implement visual management systems, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. 

Job Description
  • Lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across all hard chrome plating, grinding, repair, and finishing operations.
  • Assess production capacity across stripping, masking, plating, baking, grinding, and finishing operations.
  • Analyze current-state workflows and develop future-state processes to improve throughput, reduce lead times, and increase On-Time Delivery performance.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing tools, including Gemba, 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, and Kaizen.
  • Develop KPI dashboards focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity.
  • Reduce cycle times, eliminate waste, and improve operational performance.
  • Coach and develop supervisors and production personnel.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable business results.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations related to chemical handling, waste disposal, and air quality.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years leading manufacturing operations in metal finishing, machining, aerospace, industrial repair, or related environments.
  • Proven success improving throughput, capacity utilization, and On-Time Delivery.
  • Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Experience implementing KPI-driven performance management systems.
  • Proficiency with Lean tools, including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience managing KPIs, production metrics, labor utilization, and operational performance.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and surface finish specifications.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling software.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
