Job description

Position Summary:

The Manager, Product Partnerships and Media will support the Product Development team with sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and implement revenue-generating & cost-offsetting partnerships that support our customer-facing onboard technology strategy; leveraging our industry-leading inflight entertainment & connectivity products to unlock value for partners. The Manager will support monetization efforts across our inflight digital platforms by partnering with content providers, advertisers, and other partners to structure deals and oversee distribution across our inflight digital channels, along with unlocking additional value through enterprise-wide integrations including lounges, airports, the app, aircraft liveries, and the TrueBlue loyalty program. 

The Manager is a customer-focused marketing professional who is skilled at building and maintaining relationships at all levels within and outside of the organization. This self-motivated individual is entrepreneurial, takes initiative, and exhibits the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun, and Passion.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Establish a pipeline of tiered, cross-vertical partnership opportunities spanning transactional media buys, mid-tier campaigns across multiple touchpoints, and deeply integrated seven-figure and above enterprise deals
  • Contribute to and execute against the monetization strategy of Fly-Fi, our inflight Wi-Fi product, unlocking both turnkey media opportunities as well as marquee partnerships
  • Manage, coordinate, and liaise with airport POCs to facilitate all partner-led activations in Terminal 5
  • Assemble an arsenal of templated and custom media plans and pitch decks, establishing clear frameworks to coney JetBlue's value proposition to potential and current partners
  • Own all contracts and IOs with partners and agencies, ensuring legal compliance and cross-functional approval prior to execution
  • Oversee day-to-day relationship & account management of integrated partnerships and ensure we are executing against contractual obligations while constantly testing, learning, and iterating to ensure optimal performance and partner satisfaction
  • Oversee all media sales including ownership of the agency partnership responsible for inflight advertising
  • Work cross-functionally to garner approval on non-inflight media placements, such as email, social, marketing, and loyalty
  • Manage all revenue forecasts with FP&A, providing direction on a regular basis around potential changes and opportunities to meet & exceed annual targets
  • Monitor all ad-sales related inventory day-to-day, ensuring pacing of current campaigns and the advertising caps are met, while optimizing for as little remnant inventory as possible
  • Take ownership over the inflight targeted advertising tool, ensuring partner creative is uploaded in the correct specs and continuously monitor pacing to ensure full revenue is recognized
  • Provide all reporting, wrap decks, and KPI summary post-campaign to partners, leveraging compelling narratives to unlock upsell opportunities and returning advertisers
  • Write creative briefs and oversee creation of product marketing and partner marketing assets 
  • Participate in ongoing inflight technology platform development to ensure monetization efforts are consistently represented in future product roadmaps and partner interests are balanced and considered with leading UX
  • Leverage AI to identify new leads, lucrative new verticals, create sales materials, and analyze campaign performance
  • Manage one sales Analyst to support in asset creation, media plans, reporting, and general account management
  • Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support engagement, growth, and achievement of organizational goals.
  • Other duties as assigned 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in economics, business, or in a relevant field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
  • Five (5) years of experience with strategic partnerships and/or business development
  • At least one year of experience managing a team
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed multi-million dollar revenue targets
  • Experience managing complex, revenue-generating partnerships across various verticals and industries
  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced changing environment 
  • Ability to work at all levels, from being in-the-weeds all the way to presenting to Leadership
  • Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and work well independently
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to quickly turn data into actionable trends and recommendations
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (20%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located 
  • Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of experience in direct brand partnerships, with a proven track record of delivering annual sales targets
  • Relationships with advertising agencies and key fortune 500 company contacts
  • Familiar building and pitching proposal decks and materials

  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice.
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance.
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture and exhibit the values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion, and Fun.
  • Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy, and behavioral standards.
  • Identify safety and security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
  • Fulfill all safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies, procedures, and risk controls.
  • Ensure crewmembers have the training, resources, and support necessary to achieve safety objectives
  • The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position

Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is between $114,000.00 and $170,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
