L5 Network Engineer (AWS Cloud) DETAILS Location: 100% Remote Position Type: 3M+ Contract (w/ possibility of converting to fulltime) Hourly / Salary: to $120W2+ (based on experience level) JOB SUMMARY Vaco is currently seeking a Network Engineer L5 for a 3M+ Contract (w/ the possibility of conversion to fulltime) that is remote. The Network Engineer L5 will support a large-scale Connected Enterprise initiative focused on modernizing and optimizing network infrastructure across distributed donation centers and manufacturing facilities. The Network Engineer L5 will be heavily focused on enterprise-grade, multi-site networking within hybrid cloud environments, leveraging AWS Cloud WAN, AWS Transit Gateway, satellite connectivity, and mesh Wi-Fi technologies to deliver resilient, secure, and scalable connectivity solutions.

The Network Engineer L5 will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate on-prem and cloud-based environments, support IoT connectivity initiatives, and ensure network segmentation, compliance, and operational reliability across the enterprise landscape. The Network Engineer L5 is a highly hands-on engineering role requiring deep expertise in AWS networking, enterprise infrastructure design, and modern connectivity solutions, along with strong documentation and collaboration skills. AWS Network Architecture / Design – Designing and Implementing Resilient Multi-Site Network Architectures Utilizing AWS Cloud WAN and Transit Gateway Satellite / Wireless Connectivity – Configuring and Deploying Amazon Leo Satellite Connectivity and Eero Mesh WiFi Solutions Across Manufacturing Sites and Plasma Centers Network Security / Compliance – Establishing Network Segmentation / Security Policies / Compliance Controls Aligned to Regulatory Requirements Hybrid Connectivity / Cloud Integration – Integrating OnPrem and Cloud Network Environments Ensuring Seamless Connectivity Between AWS / Enterprise Systems / Customer Facilities IoT Connectivity / Data Integration – Supporting IoT Sensor Connectivity and Data Ingestion Pipeline Configuration Across Distributed Environments Documentation / Operational Readiness – Developing and Maintaining Network Architecture Diagrams / Runbooks / Operational Documentation Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partnering Closely With DTLs and Cross-Functional Teams to Support Network Delivery and Operational Objectives JOB REQUIREMENTS Enterprise Networking – Demonstrating Enterprise-Grade Multi-Site Networking Expertise Across Distributed Infrastructure Environments AWS Cloud WAN – Designing and Supporting Global Network Connectivity Using AWS Cloud WAN Architectures AWS Transit Gateway – Implementing and Managing AWS Transit Gateway for Scalable Hybrid and Multi-VPC Connectivity Certifications – AWS Certified Advanced Networking / CCNA/CCNP (Routing / Switching / Network Architecture Expertise) / PCNSA (Supporting Security / Firewall Administration), etc.
