The Role
The AWS Professional Services Account Director will develop and execute co-selling strategies with AWS Professional Services, working alongside the Presidio sales team to grow this business. This is primarily a hunting role focused on creating and advancing new joint opportunities with AWS Professional Services.
As part of the role, you will work closely with our digital sales teams, our AWS partner team to engage with AWS Professional Services team members and position Presidio as a preferred partner for their co-selling and delivery needs
You will be part of small team that is focused on growing Presidio's business with AWS Professional Services. You will be responsible for driving activities daily to create and advance opportunities. You will be focused with both partner stakeholders and internal Presidio Sales leaders and account management stakeholders. You will be responsible for building pipeline as well as ensuring that our AWS Professional Services sales motions are being executed smoothly with our other sales teams.
The role has a second dimension that is as important as the first. The same AWS Professional Services stakeholders Presidio sells with are the ones Presidio delivers with as well. When joint engagements hit friction, those stakeholders will look to this role to step in and keep the pursuit or delivery work on track. This role will not delivery however it requires the credibility and instinct to absorb pressure and stabilize a pursuit or an engagement when it matters.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and deploy plans and strategies to grow pipeline opportunities for Digital and Cloud through sales of Presidio Digital Services.
  • Generate and advance joint AWS Professional Services pipeline by co-selling with ProServe teams into new and existing customers, working alongside Presidio sales and account management.
  • Serve as the point person when joint AWS Professional Services engagements hit delivery or relationship friction; step in to coordinate across Presidio and AWS teams and keep pursuits and engagements on track.
  • Deeply engaged with Presidio sales and account management teams to support achievement of sales targets and new client acquisition targets.
  • Coordinate with Presidio sales Account Managers to meet defined Presidio Digital Business revenue growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with Presidio Account Managers to drive consistency in brand, metrics, and Go-To-Market messaging for our Cloud partners.
  • Manage performance standards via SalesForce.com and data gathering required to evaluate and manage performance of the partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage Cloud partner funding and work with local market leaders to apply funds to existing client opportunities.
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate Cloud Partner and Presidio regional needs on an ongoing basis and work to manage channel conflict.

Required Skills and Professional Experience:
  • Self-starter with natural networking skills (charisma and high energy).
  • Highly focused on customer success and the ability to tell that story to clients and partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experienced in partner relationship development and management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong executive presence, ability to manage up, and experience presenting at the executive level.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to persuasively articulate Presidio value proposition to our partners and clients.
  • Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience selling to or working for AWS Professional Services
  • Previous experience working for a small company/start up
  • Previous experience in a technical delivery or delivery-adjacent role, with the ability to step into project-level escalations and help keep engagements on track
  • 7-10 years of consulting services sales experience
