Job description

The Senior Product Manager for Content Management Tools & Web Platform is responsible for web-based interface & tools that enable airlines and media operations to manage, configure, and deliver inflight entertainment (IFE) content and associated. The Senior Product Manager will act as a conduit between internal teams, airline/partner stakeholders, and other Product Managers to define and prioritize features across the product backlog. They are an outcome-focused individual with a passion for improving inflight experiences through efficient content operations, scalable tooling, and intuitive web experiences for airline media operations users.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead ideation, technical development, and launch of content management tools and web-based platforms supporting IFEC systems
  • Own and manage platforms that enable content ingestion, media catalog management, configuration, scheduling, and distribution to aircraft
  • Collaborate with UI/UX, backend, and API teams to ensure seamless workflows across content operations, web interfaces, and onboard systems
  • Drive development of web portals that provide airline users with control, visibility, and configuration capabilities for IFE content and services
  • Assist in establishing a shared vision across the organization by building alignment on priorities and execution plans
  • Gather and translate airline and internal operational needs into scalable product requirements
  • Drive platform development with engineering, product design, and cross-functional teams across content operations, distribution, and onboard integration
  • Contribute to short-term and long-term product roadmaps for content management and associated web platforms
  • Ensure products are designed with clear operational workflows, including content update cycles, validation, and deployment processes
  • Define and analyze metrics related to content operations, platform usage, and system reliability
  • Understand the IFEC, Consumer Technology, and Entertainment Technology landscape as it relates to content delivery and management platforms
  • Evaluate competitive offerings and deliver best-in-class tools that reflect the voice of the airline customer

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Media Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3โ€“7 years of experience in Product Management or Product Development in multimedia platforms, digital media, streaming, broadcasting, or content operations environments
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end multimedia workflows, including ingestion, transcoding, metadata management, packaging, scheduling, and distribution
  • Experience working with media asset management (MAM) or content management systems (CMS)
  • Familiarity with web-based platforms used for content configuration, publishing, and system integrations
  • Understanding of content operations workflows, including content updates, validation, QA, and deployment cycles
  • Familiarity with media formats and standards (e.g., MP4, MP3, MPEG-DASH, codecs such as H.264/H.265, DRM systems)
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, content operations, UX/UI, and external partners
  • Ability to influence without authority and manage competing priorities in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Knowledge of Product Management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and prototyping/wireframing tools

Benefits

The starting pay range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000 per year however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
