Job description

Overview Wedding Attendants play a key role in ensuring exceptional food and beverage service for the couple and Wedding party throughout the event. They are responsible for providing prompt and attentive service, ensuring drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and meals are delivered seamlessly. Responsibilities Pre-Event Preparation Arrive on time in full uniform with a pen and radio.

Review the BEO (Banquet Event Order) and staff assignments. Review key event details, including: Drink preferences for the couple. Event timeline (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception).

Bar type (cash, consumption, open). Menu details, including allergies and special requests. Location of food and beverages for photos during cocktail hour.

Confirm with the Event Producer regarding drop-off items that need to be picked up at the end of the event. Assist with ballroom setup as needed, if time permits. Couple & Wedding Party Assistance Greet the couple upon arrival, introduce themselves, and provide a warm welcome.

Offer assistance with personal needs, such as securing safety pins, a thread and needle, or other necessities. At the Villa, assist guests in getting on and off the golf cart, ensuring special attention to the Bride and her attire. Help organize and transport the Wedding party to the ceremony location.

Assist with: Ceremony line-up and processional coordination. Carrying the Bride's train as needed. Cocktail Hour Duties Ensure the Wedding party is served drinks and hors d'oeuvres immediately after the ceremony.

Assist with photos and provide necessary support. Tidy up after photos and ensure the party transitions smoothly into the reception. At Saphire, the producer or wedding attendant should assist the bride on the stairway when possible.

Clear the Wedding suite before the reception, removing glassware, food, and trash. Personal belongings should never be moved. SEG staff are not permitted to enter the Wedding suite alone when unoccupied—always bring another team member.

Reception Duties Provide attentive service to the Bride & Groom and the Family/Wedding tables as assigned. Check in with the couple throughout the night for drink requests. Inform the couple when their entrée is served, and only clear plates when appropriate.

Always inquire with the couple to confirm they have finished their meal before clearing. Inform the couple and family about any other stations; such as dessert, late night, and to go. Provide an assortment from each station to their table.

End-of-Night Responsibilities Assist with packing up all drop-off items, following the Event Producer's checklist.

Wedding Attendants should NEVER handle envelopes or gifts. If a guest asks for assistance, they should be directed to the gift table. If handling is necessary, ensure the couple or their parents are present.

Clean and reset the Wedding Suite. Return the golf cart to the proper location (Villa). Support the event staff with closing procedures as needed.

Key Skills & Expectations Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs. Professional, friendly, and discreet when assisting the couple. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced event environment.
