Position Summary... What you'll do...Role summary:
The Manager, Business Development is responsible for driving pipeline and growth for Walmart’s International Marketplace by sourcing, acquiring, and launching high-quality third-party (3P) cross-border sellers. This role focuses on owning the end-to-end seller lifecycle—from prospecting and pipeline development to onboarding and activation—ensuring sellers are successfully brought onto the platform and positioned to scale.
About the team:
The team drives cross-border growth by connecting high-quality sellers with global customers across key corridors such as the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Chile. They manage the full seller lifecycle, from acquiring strategic brands to supporting successful launches and post-launch performance. Utilizing data and market insights, the team closes assortment gaps and enhances marketplace competitiveness. Collaborating closely with product, operations, and support teams, they streamline onboarding, catalog quality, payments, and fulfillment processes. Their efforts enable sellers to scale efficiently while delivering a strong customer experience, advancing international marketplace expansion with the right sellers, assortment, and capabilities.
What you'll do:
  • Drive cross-border Marketplace growth by acquiring and scaling high-value sellers
  • Identify and close in-demand assortment gaps to improve customer selection
  • Lead seller lifecycle management (acquisition → onboarding → activation → growth)
  • Use data and market insights to prioritize sellers, categories, and growth opportunities

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience in Marketplace, eCommerce, or Business Development
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue/GMV growth
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and prioritize effectively
  • Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Bias for action with the ability to operate from strategy through execution
  • Deep understanding of seller ecosystems, assortment strategy, or marketplace dynamics

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
