This is a hands-on role for someone who's comfortable owning the accounting function day-to-day while the client is between permanent hires (or navigating a transition period).
What you'll be doing:
- Managing month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
- Overseeing property-level accounting: CAM reconciliations, tenant billing, lease accounting, and owner/investor reporting
- Reviewing and maintaining accurate books across multiple properties or entities
- Partnering with property management teams on budget vs. actual reporting
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP and any investor/lender reporting requirements
- Supervising and supporting the accounting team
What we're looking for:
- 7+ years of accounting experience, with meaningful time in property/real estate accounting specifically (multifamily, commercial, or mixed-use experience all welcome)
- Experience with property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, MRI, or similar)
- Strong understanding of CAM reconciliations, lease accounting, and owner reporting
- Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities across a part-time schedule
- Prior experience in an interim, fractional, or consulting capacity is a plus, but not required

- 30 hours/week, with some flexibility on schedule
- Hybrid schedule - Cherry Creek office
- Immediate start, 4 week engagement with possibility to extend
