At Altera Health & Rehabilitation, we know that outstanding resident care begins with strong operational support. We are seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused Business Office Manager to oversee the daily financial and administrative operations of our skilled nursing facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with residents, families, vendors, and leadership while ensuring the business office operates efficiently and accurately.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee all daily business office operations for the facility.
  • Manage resident trust accounts, billing support, private pay collections, and accounts receivable.
  • Process resident admissions financial paperwork and explain financial obligations to residents and families.
  • Assist with Medicaid pending cases and coordinate with corporate billing teams.
  • Maintain accurate census and resident financial records.
  • Prepare deposits, reconcile accounts, and maintain financial documentation.
  • Coordinate payroll functions, new hire paperwork, and employee personnel files as needed.
  • Manage purchasing, invoices, vendor payments, and office supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company financial policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, vendors, and employees.
  • Partner closely with the Administrator and department leaders to support overall facility operations.
  • Assist during surveys, audits, and regulatory reviews.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Business Office Manager in a skilled nursing facility or long term care setting preferred.
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and insurance billing processes preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, collections, and resident trust accounting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare software systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
