What is management?
What is the difference between Management vs Customer Service?
| Aspect | Management | Customer Service |
|---|---|---|
| Required Credentials | Leadership skills, sometimes degrees in business or related fields | Communication skills, customer service training often preferred |
| Work Environment | Office settings, team management, strategic planning | Retail, call centers, hospitality, direct interaction with customers |
| Employer & Industry Usage | Businesses across industries for overseeing teams and operations | Customer-facing roles in retail, hospitality, and service industries |
Management involves overseeing teams, strategic planning, and decision-making within organizations. Customer Service focuses on assisting clients, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. While management roles often require leadership skills and industry knowledge, customer service roles emphasize communication and problem-solving skills. Both are essential in business operations but serve different functions within the company structure.

What Are Different Careers in Management?
Different careers in management include specialized technical positions, such as being a project manager, as well as HR or first-line managers who hire and train employees at a company and oversee the daily operations of the employees. As a manager, your duties differ depending on the field in which you work and the specific responsibilities you have. For example, a project manager typically takes over on a specific project, such as an engineering or software development project. You assemble a team, plan a budget and timeline, and keep workers on track throughout the project. HR managers, on the other hand, interview and hire employees and ensure that productivity and performance remain high.

- Partner with the Change Board and senior leaders to govern change priorities, capacity, and resource deployment.
Change Management Center of Excellence (CoE)
- Build, lead, and scale a centralized Change Management CoE with clear roles, expectations, and career paths for the approximately 5 direct reports.
- Act as a player-coach, providing hands-on leadership for the most complex, transformational initiatives.
- Ensure flexible deployment of change resources across technological, incremental, and transformational change based on enterprise priorities.
Business & Leadership Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Chemours Executive Team members, business leaders, and functional leaders on change strategy, readiness, and adoption.
- Engage early in major initiatives to shape change strategies, influence decisions, and mitigate adoption risk.
- Equip and hold leaders accountable for leading change through clear expectations, tools, and coaching.

- Build a strong, value-adding Change Management brand that is seen as strategic, integrated, and outcomes-focused.
Measurement & Value Realization
- Define and track outcome-based KPIs to measure change effectiveness, adoption, and ROI.
- Publicize wins, reinforce adoption, and recognize leaders and teams who model effective change leadership.
The following is required for this role:
