Summary:
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facility assets. This position serves as a key liaison between Maintenance and Operations by developing work plans, managing maintenance-related inventory, coordinating parts procurement, and maintaining accurate records within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The Maintenance Planner helps drive equipment reliability, preventive maintenance compliance, inventory optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives while minimizing
Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:
  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule maintenance work requests and convert approved requests into actionable work orders within the CMMS.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations to ensure equipment reliability while minimizing production downtime and disruptions.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules, job plans, and maintenance workflows to support operational efficiency and asset performance.
  • Manage maintenance inventory, including spare parts, materials, and supplies, ensuring appropriate inventory levels are maintained using min/max controls.
  • Source and procure maintenance parts and materials by evaluating cost, quality, availability, and delivery requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, asset, inventory, and work order data within the CMMS and ensure proper system utilization by maintenance personnel.
  • Collect and organize technical documentation, equipment records, and maintenance data to support effective planning and execution of maintenance activities.
  • Generate and analyze maintenance and inventory metrics using CMMS, Tableau, and other reporting tools to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and external vendors to resolve equipment and inventory-related issues and improve maintenance effectiveness.
  • Comply with all applicable safety, GMP, quality, and company policies and procedures.

You'll need the following (minimum qualifications):
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance coordination, inventory management, purchasing, or a manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • Experience utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as RedZone, SAP PM, Maximo, MP2, or similar platform.
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, work order management, and spare parts inventory control.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience managing inventory transactions, purchasing, and vendor communications preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
