What does a maintenance planner do?

As a maintenance planner, your responsibilities are to plan facility maintenance operations for a manufacturing organization or other facility with large physical plant operations. Your duties include administrative and planning work, providing your employer with a cost estimate for repairs or upkeep on facilities, equipment, and another physical plant, and scheduling maintenance inspections. As the planner, you process logs of inspections and repairs and coordinate staff shifts to ensure someone is on call in case of emergency.
