About the Role

The Maintenance Helper is responsible for assisting maintenance team with daily tasks.

What You'll Do

More specifically, this position will be responsible for activities including but not limited to the following:

  • Operating floor scrubber and floor sweeper and completing general preventative maintenance on both including changing brushes and squeegees, dumping collection hoppers and cleaning out holding tanks
  • Completing oiler duties of equipment
  • Rewrapping transfer units and soaking all used filters in water while properly disposing to Hazmat
  • Operating forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts
  • Assisting maintenance with machine repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Ability to work without constant supervision and be self-motivated
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Possess a high degree of quality workmanship and be detail oriented
  • Proven time management skills with ability to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines
  • Observes safety procedures and possess a good safety record
  • Maintains good work ethic and attendance
  • Working primarily indoors and occasionally outdoors where temperatures could be hot/cold, depending on season. Mandatory PPE for eyes, ears, hands, and feet to prevent exposure to hazardous materials or injury. May be required to work overtime, including weekends.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds. Standing, reaching, balancing, stretching lower extremities constantly. Frequent grasping, pinching and fine manipulation. Occasionally bending and squatting.

  • Must be able to read work instructions and other work documents provided in English.
  • Must be able to speak and write basic English
