Job description
We currently have an opening for a Maintenance Automation Technician/Electrician based out of Charlestown, Indiana. This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
The Role:
- Will identify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions
- Will be able to perform electrical work safely and legally.
- Maintain assembly machines and equipment per established PM schedules and suggest improvements to PM schedules (frequency and content) as applicable
- Will respond promptly to breakdowns and maintain process uptime through troubleshooting and repairs and will be actively involved in continuous improvement through the appropriate channels
- They will also document issues and repairs using the appropriate systems and forms
- Will support production equipment start-up and change-over as requires and assist in new equipment commissioning and start-ups along with any other duties assigned.
Our Requirements:
- Knowledge of pneumatic circuits and systems; PLC-based equipment and some PLC program knowledge.
- This person must have the ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, electric and mechanical equipment
- Have the ability to use machining tools and equipment and possess the ability to read, understand, and update electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings for assembly machines and equipment
- Must have mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools, some machining and welding, understanding of injection machines including auxiliary equipment.
The successful candidate must be dedicated and able to work in an organized and efficient manner, and must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
