Job description

Grand Industrial and our Lebanon, Indiana location is seeking an Industrial Project Manager who has earned their leadership role by working up through the skilled trades. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Project Manager or a talented Industrial Superintendent who is ready to take the next step in their career.

We’re looking for a hands‑on leader who still understands the work because they’ve done the work. The ideal candidate has a background in industrial maintenance or construction and is comfortable estimating projects, leading crews, building customer relationships, and working alongside field personnel when needed to solve problems, mentoring employees, and keeping projects moving safely and efficiently.

Compensation: Typical annual earnings range from $100,000-$150,000, including guaranteed base compensation and performance‑based project profit sharing. This is not a capped compensation plan. Top performers who consistently deliver profitable projects, develop customer relationships, and help grow the business have the opportunity to earn substantially more through Grand Industrial’s profit‑sharing program.

If you’re looking for a leadership position where your field experience is valued, your performance directly impacts your earning potential, and your next career move offers room to grow, we’d like to speak with you.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead industrial maintenance and construction projects from estimating through closeout.
  • Prepare estimates, bids, schedules, budgets, and project plans.
  • Manage trade work including millwright, rigging, steel erection, process piping, welding, structural repairs, and industrial carpentry.
  • Coordinate labor, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
  • Develop customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high‑performing field personnel.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and maintain a strong safety culture.
  • Provide field leadership and work alongside crews when necessary.
Required Qualifications
  • Journeyman‑level experience in an industrial trade.
  • Demonstrated progression from the skilled trades into leadership.
  • 5+ years leading industrial crews as a Foreman, Superintendent, Project Manager, or similar role.
  • Experience managing industrial maintenance or construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong blueprint and mechanical drawing interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Willingness to remain engaged in the field and support crews hands‑on when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NCCER or Journeyman certification.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
  • Previous Superintendent ready to transition into Project Management.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent industrial projects.
  • Typical annual compensation of $100,000–$150,000 with uncapped performance‑based earning potential.
  • Performance‑based project profit sharing.
  • Company vehicle.
  • Company computer and mobile phone.
  • Per diem when applicable.
  • 95% local work with minimal overnight travel.
  • Opportunity to help grow one of Indiana’s premier industrial contractors.
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Life insurance
  • Paid time off (PTO)
  • Referral program
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Typically 50–60 hours per week depending on project workload.
  • Occasional weekends based on project demands.
  • Industrial manufacturing and construction environments.
