Job Title: Maintenance Apprentice

Job Description

The Maintenance Apprentice supports production manufacturing by performing root cause analysis, implementing effective machine repair countermeasures, and ensuring timely equipment recovery. This role is critical to maintaining smooth and efficient machinery operation so that production goals, uptime targets, and quality standards are consistently met. The Maintenance Apprentice also helps improve overall manufacturing proficiency across the plant by acting as a technical resource, mentoring others, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced technicians with preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, robotics, and facility systems.
  • Learn to troubleshoot mechanical systems, electrical components, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Support equipment repairs, part replacements, and basic diagnostics.
  • Perform routine inspections and document findings.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Participate in formal training and on-the-job learning.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing environment working directly with production machinery and related equipment. You will work with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, CNC, PLC, robotic, and vacuum systems while using standard hand tools and maintenance equipment. The position follows fixed shifts on a Mondayโ€“Friday schedule, with available 2nd shift (8 hours, approximately 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.) and 3rd shift (8 hours, approximately 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.), and includes shift differentials. The facility emphasizes safety, organization, and cleanliness, and encourages maintaining an orderly work area.
