Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Maintenance Clerk to support facility maintenance operations by coordinating work orders, maintaining records, tracking inventory, scheduling preventative maintenance activities, and assisting with purchasing and vendor management. This position plays a key role in keeping maintenance operations running efficiently and supporting equipment uptime.

This is a 10-week temporary assignment ideal for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment and supporting maintenance teams.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain maintenance supply inventory by monitoring stock levels and ordering materials as needed
  • Purchase maintenance supplies, parts, and consumable items
  • Create and update preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and assets
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance activities and track completion
  • Enter, update, and close work orders including labor hours, comments, and parts usage
  • Monitor equipment run hours and maintenance logs
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties supporting the maintenance department
  • Assist with timekeeping activities
  • Maintain equipment inventories and support repair coordination
  • Review vendor invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents for accuracy
  • Verify maintenance purchases and billing information
  • Prepare maintenance reports, downtime summaries, cost tracking, and activity logs
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Experience with Global Shop software preferred
  • Previous experience with maintenance systems, purchasing, or inventory tracking
  • Minimum of 2 years of clerical, customer service, administrative, or maintenance support experience
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment
  • Regular sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed
  • Exposure to production environments including noise, equipment operation, temperature changes, and manufacturing activity
