The Role:
The mailroom clerk is responsible for handling all inbound/outbound mail and functions associated with Mailroom tasks and assisting with other office duties as needed.
Essential Duties
-Receive, sort and process incoming mail documents, packages, and supplies. Notify and distribute to proper recipients.
-Record and process accountable mail information such as payments, internal/confidential and community mail, verify and maintain accuracy of transmittal logs, and create transmittal logs as needed.
-Perform finishing work on documents to be mailed, such as folding and insertion, creating certified mail forms and applying proper postage.
-Enter USPS, FEDEX and UPS tracking data into system for verification of payments or documents received.
-Scanning and digitizing payments and documents as requested.
-Assist with other office duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
  • Mailroom or delivery services experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Able to lift and move up to 50lbs.
  • Able to demonstrate ability to read, write and follow English instructions.
  • Ability to spend most of the workday on feet.
  • Ability to operate mailroom equipment including inserters, calculators, and postage meters.
