Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Mailing Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining high-speed mailing machines to prepare outgoing mail for distribution. The ideal candidate will have experience in mail processing, strong technical skills, and an understanding of mail sorting and handling practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor machine mailing equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of mail pieces.
  • Set up machines for various mailing tasks, adjusting settings based on job requirements and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on mailing machines to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Sort and prepare mail according to postal regulations and company guidelines.
  • Verify accuracy of mailing lists, labels, and financial transactions related to mailing processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of mailing projects and respond to any issues that arise during processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Keep detailed records of machine performance, production output, and any operational challenges encountered.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new employees as needed.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a machine operator, preferably in a mailing or printing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of postal regulations and best practices in mailing operations is preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and reaching.
  • Manual dexterity for operating machinery and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Moderate noise level due to operation of machinery that can be intense. 
  • Minor workspace restrictions and moderate exposure to dirt and dust. 
  • Working near continual rotating moving and mechanical parts. 
  • The job is subject to interruptions and production schedule changes at times to meet customer satisfaction.  

Schedule

  • Monday-Thursday, 9PM - 7AM
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work as needed to meet production deadlines
