Job description

Description
The Commissions Clerk will work with the Sales Team, Accounts Receivable Team, and Finance Team. The Commission Clerk assists with data processing, which could include interpreting gathered data, reconciling accounts, establishing new processes, and creating commission statements as well as other accounting data. The Commission analyst may perform other basic clerical duties associated with accounting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter commission-related data into the organization's financial systems, ensuring timely and precise records
  • Assist with the calculation of commissions, verifying accuracy and addressing any discrepancies or inquiries from the sales team
  • Generate regular reports on commission payments, sales performance, and other relevant data to support decision-making and forecasting
  • Investigate and resolve commission-related disputes or discrepancies, working with sales representatives, managers, and other stakeholders as needed
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation related to commission plans and payments
  • Maintain and update commission-related information in the organization's financial systems, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data
  • Back-up other team members when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and follow through on assigned tasks and projects with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, leadership, clients, and external vendors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and general computer literacy
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues and implement solutions
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratios, and basic data analysis
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial and business documents, and to prepare clear and concise written communications
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively to a variety of audiences across different levels of the organization
  • Ability to interpret and follow instructions provided in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formats
