Description
The Technician II is responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing inserter equipment to ensure efficient, accurate, and high-quality mail processing. The Technician II must possess strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maximizing equipment performance and production efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.
2nd Shift Schedule: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am, Monday - Friday; overtime as required.
Due to the nature of our business, mandatory overtime is required during high-volume production periods and other times of increased workload. Flexibility to work extended shifts and/or weekends is an essential requirement of this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set up and configure Inserter equipment for scheduled production runs.
  • Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs to ensure consistent machine performance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, software, and camera-based issues during operation.
  • Work with camera systems to read mail pieces and verify accuracy.
  • Use machine specific automation software to manage job settings and workflow.
  • Monitor production quality and make real-time adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to meet daily output goals.
  • Document maintenance activities and machine performance issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical ability.

  • Must be able to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
