Job Summary

The Mail Department Operator manages outgoing mail, ensuring accurate sorting, timely distribution, and proper documentation.

 Location: Onsite role in Springfield, VA

Schedule: 1:00 - 9:00pm

Pay Range: $21 - 27.50 USD/hourly

What You'll Do...

  • Operate processes for outgoing mail from our facility
  • Read and understand paper and electronic job orders and process jobs according to specifications
  • Be accountable for quality, on time work
  • Run and coordinate work in the operation of all mailroom equipment
  • Maintains mail machinery in working order, clearing jams in equipment and operating computers
  • Maintain an accurate record of all mail processed and distributed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience running mailing inserter machines required
  • Proven experience in an administrative role is an advantage
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail and records
  • Familiarity with postal regulations, procedures, and mail sorting technologies
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and vendors
