We are hiring a Material Handler to assist in material handling activities at the corporate distribution warehouse. This role will also perform assembly and sub-assembly operations to produce repair kits for the various technologies of pipe rehabilitation.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Build sub-assemblies from raw materials according to shop orders.
  • Take sub-assemblies and assemble with remaining parts to create completed repair kit.
  • Package and label completed repair kit.
  • Place completed repair kit on pallet which is transferred to finished goods.
  • Responsible for working at different work stations as production needs require.
  • Unload truck deliveries and place parts on shelves in material handling inventory.
  • Perform shipping duties such as wrapping/banding skids and loading trailers; count and record pallets.
  • Work within strict time constraints to fill full- or partial-truckload shipments to Miller Pipeline warehouses and customers.
  • Pull inventory, pack shipping containers or boxes, and prepare for shipment, e.g., use automatic and manual packaging machines, scales, and printing devices to calculate costs, apply labels, etc.
  • Receive UPS and FedEx shipments; deliver to appropriate person or areas within the corporate office.
  • Process small package shipments from the corporate office.
  • Track orders and document work.
  • Drive company vehicle to pick up mail from the post office.
  • Assist in keeping the material handling and surrounding grounds clean and orderly, e.g., trash pickup, sweeping.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current and valid driver's license.
  • 1+ year using forklift and pallet jacks safely and effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, dexterity and attention to detail, impeccable material organization skills, & a great team player.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years related experience.
  • Able to be forklift certified.
  • Knowledge of UPS WorldShip.
